GUST’s Journey to Success
To bring our vision to life, we forged a strategic partnership with the University of Missouri-St. Louis, a renowned international institution. Their expertise and guidance were instrumental in shaping our path forward. In 2000, the Private Universities Decree, No. 34, issued by the State of Kuwait, facilitated the establishment of our temporary campus in Hawally, equipped with the necessary infrastructure. Finally, in 2002, the Emiri Decree, No. 156, solidified GUST’s legal establishment as the first private university in Kuwait, marking the beginning of our inaugural academic year in 2002-2003.

Description

Faculty Position in MIS – Hiring in the Accounting & MIS department

Description

The Department of Accounting & MIS in the College of Business Administration at GUST invites applications for a full-time faculty position in MIS to start in Fall 2026. The ideal candidate will hold a Ph.D. in MIS or any related field with an active research record and have teaching experience in at least two of the following subjects: Data Analytics, Big Data, and Business Intelligence; Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, and Cybersecurity. The State of Kuwait does not recognize degrees from online universities.

Minimum Qualifications

The ideal candidate who should possess excellent communication skills in English must be ambitious, self-motivated, hard-working, with the ability to work both individually and as part of a multidisciplinary team where scientific creativity is essential. The applicant must have completed a PhD in MIS or any related field from a reputable North American (U.S. or Canada) or European university with at least three years of teaching experience after the doctoral degree. Successful candidates are expected to publish high-quality research in leading peer-reviewed journals.
